
Sousan is a Licensed Psychologist, Board Certified Behavior Analyst and EMDRIA Certified Therapist™.
Sousan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in General Psychology from the American University of Beirut. She went on to get her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University (New York). Afterwards, Sousan completed further graduate coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, and from the University of California (Los Angeles; Santa Barbra). She is a behavior analyst certified by the Behavioral Analysis Certification Board (BACB). To expand her professional repertoire, she completed extensive training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Additionally, she also became an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist and is currently a EMDRIA Certified Therapist™.
Furthermore, as of August 2024, she began working towards her Doctorate of Social Sciences in Prevention Science. She is a member of the Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society for Social Sciences.
For over 16 years, she has worked in the field of mental healthcare across full age spectrum (1.5 years old to geriatric ages), with a variety of afflictions and issues (e.g., neurodivergence, depression, anxiety, trauma, traumatic brain injury recovery, parenting difficulties, etc.), in different capacities (e.g., research, lecturing, training, consulting, direct therapy, group therapy, learning support assistance, supervision, etc.), and across different countries (e.g., Lebanon, USA, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, etc.). She also served as the president of the ABAL (Association for Behavior Analysis in Lebanon, affiliated with ABAI) from 2023-2025, and continues to serve as an Executive Board Member.
She brings deep passion to her work as she believes it is her mission in life to help others’ mental health and life fulfillment, increase awareness and de-stigmatization, and share her knowledge and experience with likeminded professionals.

I specialize in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I am IFS-informed and will be completing the accredited Internal Family Systems (IFS) Level 1 training in Spring 2026. My clinical work is integrative and evidence-based, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches to meet each client’s unique needs and goals.
